The Civil Society Self-Coordinating Mechanism (CSSCM), a vibrant initiative hosted by Family Development Initiatives (FDI), it is empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) to revolutionize the fight against HIV, TB, Malaria, and other epidemics. Recognizing the critical role of diverse perspectives, the CSSCM serves eight key constituencies: Women, Youth, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Key Populations, Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs), Persons Living with HIV (PLHIV) and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
At the heart of the CSSCM lies a commitment to fostering strong partnerships and coordinated efforts among CSOs. By bridging gaps and empowering civil society organizations with the knowledge and skills they need, the Mechanism enables them to effectively address critical health challenges through epidemic preparednness, improve community well-being, and ensure that the voices of all are heard.
The CSSCM brings together these diverse constituencies through impactful platforms such as Policy Dialogue Meetings, physical and virtual consultation meetings for feedback, and annual retreats. These dynamic gatherings provide a space for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving. The valuable insights generated from these interactions will undoubtedly propel the CSSCM forward on its path to long-term sustainability and positive change.
