To mark World Science Day, Cosmos Education Zambia and FDI organises events to highlight the role of science in promoting peace and sustainable development, addressing challenges like climate change, and inspiring young people in primary, secondary, and tertiary education to explore astronomy and the universe. Its objectives are as outlined below;
- To inspire, engage and empower young people in science education and technology for sustainable development and climate resilience
- To contribute to public awareness of the role of science in promoting sustainable development
- To draw attention to the challenges faced by young science innovators in raising support for their scientific endeavour in the Zambia schools.
