Let’s Talk EUP Campaign

Building on the successes recorded in the Let’s Talk EUP Campaign from 2021, FDI will continue to implement the UNESCO SIDA-funded 03 project to scale-up efforts to reduce and prevent early and unintended pregnancy (EUP) and afford girls who fall pregnant an opportunity to continue with their education

The project has the following objectives:

  1. Support UNESCO and GRZ to conduct national-level multi-media “Let’s Talk” campaign activities on early and unintended pregnancies;
  2. Support and implement EUP prevention and management activities including the engagement of communities (including men and boys) to reduce stigma around EUP using different modalities including mass-media;

Specifically, the project is being implemented in a total of 11 districts namely; Chipata, Katete, Solwezi, Kalumbila, Kabwe, Kapiri-Mposhi, Shibuyuinji, Choma, Mazabuka, Itezhi-Tezhi and Chinsali. FDI Supports and implements activities that promote parent-child communication and parental involvement on EUP and access to sexual reproductive health (SRH) and mental health services. FDI will execute the let’s talk EUP campaign; using a family-centered approach to meeting the reproductive health needs of adolescents and young people (including eliminating early and unintended pregnancies) and contributing to fulfilling the ESA commitments.
