National Rights Child Forum – NRCF

FDI as the secretariat of the National Child Rights Forum NCRF is implementing a SIDA funded project aimed at building children-focused civil society organisations, led by Save the Children International (SCI). Under the guidance of the committee of NCRF Executive Directors the project is undertaking a multi-stakeholders national initiative to promote boys’ and girls’ rights with particular focus on public budgeting for children’s rights, child protection and child participation. Interventions will include capacity building, facilitating engagements with duty bearers from local to national to regional and international levels, sensitization, creating and strengthening linkages, development and dissemination of stakeholders and children’s reports to regional and international treaty bodies. The objectives of the project includes:

  1. To increase the capacity of CSOs to monitor and advocate for the full delivery of child rights treaty commitments and recommendations in Zambia by December 2026
  2. To build the capacity of boys and girls to apply child centred social accountability in the delivery of public social services for improved outcomes for boys and girls by December 2026.
  3. To strengthen the capacity of boys and girls to CSOs, boys and girls to advocate and influence, budgets, systems, legislation, policy implementation by December 2026
  4. To build the capacity of CSOs and child-led structures in applying ethical and meaningful child participation standards by December 2026.
  5. To strengthen the capacity of boys and girls to effectively engage in child rights advocacy by December 2026
